SPENCER, IA (Northwestiowanow) – Clay County Conservation is gearing up for a busy fall season.

Director Will Horsley says September marks the beginning of several outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the county.

Despite rainy weather over Labor Day weekend, Horsley says Scharnburg Park saw strong attendance and a successful camping weekend.

 

 

Conservation staff are also busy preparing exhibits and displays for the upcoming Clay County Fair.

 

 

In addition to the fair, conservation officials are looking ahead to the first-ever Vinestock at Schaumburg Park on October 3rd.
