Clay County Fair’s 2025 Annual Meeting

Spencer, IA (Northwest Iowa Now) — At the Clay County Fair’s annual meeting of shareholders Tuesday evening – two new members were elected to the Board of Directors.

Ben Pullen and Adam Batchelet were newly elected. The following board members re-elected to another term were Jeff Bohnenkamp, Marcia Langer, Greg Lear, Mark Rees, Karen Schwaller, Joe Simington, and Kevin Tlam.

On the Executive Committee Greg Lear was elected Chairman; Kevin Tlam Vice-Chairman; and Joel Stave as Treasurer. Marcia Langer was voted to serve on the Executive Committee, replacing retiring board member Dennis Larson.

Chairman Greg Lear tells Northwest Iowa Now the fair is selling a parcel of land to the city, located just east of the silver parking area, that will offer additional housing in the community:

Lear said the schedule for this year’s fair is coming together nicely:

The fair also recognized 46 volunteers and employees who collectively represent an impressive 355 years of service.
