CORRECTION TO STORY …. Idaho, Not Iowa

(Northwestiowanow.com) — We wish to correct a story we posted and aired last week. We frequently remind you to be careful of what you read on social media. We – ourselves – fell into that trap last week when we picked up on a post making the rounds about a man masquerading as a police officer. We did not vet the story with our local police department. The story … it turns out … was from Spirit Lake, IDAHO. We aplogize for that error and any undue concern our story caused. But … as we also told you last week … you should instruct your children to be wary of strangers and not give them personal information including names.
