Crews Assess Storm Damage Following Sunday Night’s Severe Weather

Des Moines, IA — Damage assessment is well underway after Sunday night’s storms, which brought multiple possible tornadoes and straight-line wind gust over 80 miles per hour.

Tornadoes were reported in Armstrong, Pomeroy, Graettinger, and possibly near Lost Island Lake within the Des Moines coverage area. Estherville also recorded the highest wind gust of the storm at 82 miles per hour.
