Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — There’s a deadline this week for individuals interested in running for county office this year. Ann Baschke is the Auditor and Election Commissioner in Clay County.

Non-Republican or Democrats have a little longer.

There’s already a crowded race for the district 3 Supervisor race in Clay County on the Republican ballot with Brandon Edmonds, Sharon Johannsen, and Kim Kroger running against incumbent Barry Anderson.
The current Treasurer, Recorder, and County Attorney have all filed for their respective party nominations.

As of Wednesday, there are two Republicans on the ballot for Dickinson County Supervisor District Number one: Dan Taylor and Beth Will; and two Republican candidates for County Attorney: Melanie Summers Bauler and Bethany Brands-Lampe

The full slate of candidates in the entire broadcast area will be announced on KICD Monday.
