Spirit Lake, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) The Dickinson County Museum is ready to welcome a new wave of summer visitors to the Iowa Great Lakes following the completion of major renovations last fall.

Jean Ann Myhre is the new museum director, and the original 1884 Spirit Lake depot has transformed its historic space to offer a more immersive look at the region’s heritage. Field Trips, Families, Group Meetings, all are filling the halls and viewing the enhancements.

Myhre has a request though.

She emphasizes that no prior history expertise is required, and volunteers can learn the lore as they go. Admission to the Dickinson County Museum is free, and more information on the upcoming MEMBERSHIP DRIVE is available at Dickinson County Museum.org
