Dickinson Nature Center to Host Annual Butterfly Festival This Friday

DICKINSON COUNTY, IA (Northwestiowanow) – The Dickinson County Nature Center is hosting its annual Dee’s Bee and Butterfly Festival this Friday.

The free family event runs Friday, September 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dickinson County Nature Center in Okoboji.

Amy Heibult with the Dickinson County Conservation Board says the festival has grown into the board’s largest annual event.

Heibult says there will vendors as well.

A new addition this year includes a booth hosted by the Dickinson County Behavioral Health Coalition.

Admission and activities are free, though food, beverages, plants and bee-related products will be available for purchase. No registration is required, and volunteers will assist visitors with parking throughout the event.
