Emergency Crews Respond to Water Incident Near Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, IA (Northwestiowanow) – Emergency crews were called out for a possible water emergency Sunday afternoon.

On August 17, Wallingford Fire and Ambulance were alerted to a possible emergency along the West Fork of the Des Moines River, about one mile south of Wallingford, shortly after 5 PM.

The Estherville Fire Department was also paged to assist, but was later canceled en route after all individuals were accounted for.

One patient was transported to the hospital by Wallingford Ambulance, while a second person was treated at the scene and did not require transport.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office and Emmet County 911 Communications assisted at the scene. No further details are available at this time.
