Estherville, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) –The Emmet County Board of Supervisors tackled a couple of key issues during their meeting Tuesday in Estherville.
First on the list: a new agreement for a major clean-up project. The board approved a plan with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to clean out Jack Creek. The project, which involves removing sediment from the creek bed, is scheduled to start after this fall’s harvest.
The Supervisors also heard from a local union, Local 234, that represents engineering operators. The union sent a letter asking to reopen its current wage agreement to discuss pay increases. The board has asked its legal counsel to reach out to the union to set up a time to meet.
