Emmetsburg, Iowa – Students have a new option for attending class through Emmetsburg Community Schools new Virtual Academy. Superintendent Cory Jenness says declining enrollment created a challenge.

Jenness says a mock-run through last Spring saw one student work full-time during the day, and take his classes online at night, and he ended up graduating. Jenness says that student told him he was going to drop out before the Virtual Academy option.

Any student can enroll in this Virtual Academy with the Emmetsburg Community School District.
