Emmetsburg Woman Dies in Two Vehicle-Crash

Algona, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — An Emmetsburg woman died in a two-vehicle crash in Kossuth County Monday morning, April 27th. The Iowa State Patrol says 47-year-old Carolee Wise was Eastbound on 210th Street – two miles West of Algona – when a Southbound semi operated by 40-year-old Teddy Kutsch of Brule Nebraska entered the intersection at 90th Avenue.

Wise was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger – 76-year-old Bernadette Wise from Emmetsburg – and Kutsch was transported to the hospital in Algona.
The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Department and EMS; and the Algona Police, Fire, and EMS departments assisted at the scene.
The accident ocurred around 10:30am.
