Estherville Police Release Name of Woman Found Dead

Estherville, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com)  Estherville Police have released the name of the 18-year-old woman found dead in the city last week.

Authorities identify the victim as Bailey Anderson of Estherville.

Anderson was found unresponsive on the ground late on the night of November 10th, in the 200 block of South 17th Street. She was transported to Avera Holy Family Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy was performed today (Monday) in Ankeny. According to police, the initial report from the Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office is inconclusive.

Further tests, including a toxicology report, are pending. Officials say a final determination on the cause of death may take several days or weeks.

No further information is expected until that final report is complete.
