Evans Questions Licensing for Former Des Moines Superintendent

Aurelia, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — State Senator Lynn Evans from Aurelia chairs the Education Committee in that body and says he very well might hold hearings into how the former Des Moines Superintendent was licensed in the state.

Evans – a retired school superintendent – says he won’t let the issue drop.

Ian Roberts was hired by the Des Moines public schools in July of 2023 after serving as a head of schools in Pennsylvania. He was arrested by ICE agents in September, and it appears he has been in the country illegally all of that time.
