Des Moines, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) —  The Iowa State Legislature meets back in Des Moines January 12, and KICD checked in with our local represantatives, including Republican Senator Lynn Evans, District 3. Evans says they’ll likely get to work immediately on some big issues.

 

Evans expects eminent domain to come up quickly.

The former school superintendent is ready to lead education talks, too.

 

The one bill he hopes gets passed this year.

Lawmakers return to the State Capitol on January 12 to begin the 2026 session.
