Fatal Car Accident

Marathon, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A 58 year old Storm Lake man died in a one vehicle accident near Marathon Sunday morning.

The Iowa State Patrol says it appears Andrew Lincoln was Eastbound on County Road 480th when he lost control just East of the intersection with County Road M-54 shortly after 9 o’clock. The vehicle entered the South ditch and rolled multiple times before coming to rest on the Driver side in a cornfield. Lincoln was wearing a safety belt but was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Department and Albert City Fire Department.
