Fatal Snowmobile Accident

Cable, WI (Northwestiowanow.com) — KICD News has received word that an Emmetsburg man was killed in a snowmobile accident in Northwest Wisconsin.

Bayfield County Sheriff Tony Williams says the accident occurred February 25th around 4:30pm on one of the county’s recreational trails. It appears that 39 year old Josh Hansen was negotiating a hill when the vehicle left the trail and struck a group of trees. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His wife 38 year old Monica Hansen was a passenger. She sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Duluth, Minnesota.
