According to the Storm Lake Police Department, the incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 21st, in the 800 block of East 4th Street. Two men, ages 30 and 38, reported being struck from behind by a westbound vehicle while riding their bicycles.

Both men sustained serious injuries to their upper bodies and faces. They were able to leave the scene and later sought treatment at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center.
