First Quarter Homes Sales up in Iowa Lakes Corridor

Spirit Lake, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Iowa Great Lakes Board of Realtors has released sales figures for the first quarter of 2026. Executive Direcor Krista Stafford says prices are up 7 percent in Clay County, 12 percent in Dickinson County, and 26 percent in Emmet County.

Stafford tells KICD News that higher interest rates have not seemed to make a difference.

The average home was on the market for 113 days in Clay County and 98 days in Emmet County, both just one day longer than the first quarter of 2025. Average Days on Market in the Great Lakes was 145, up from 104 last year.
