Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Director of Iowa’s Flood Center was a guest on KICD-AM this week. Hydrologist Dr. Larry Weber said that while July had record rainfall, it was not centered in one place like the storms that caused the floods last year.

Two key components of the Iowa flood monitoring system in Northwest Iowa still await funding.

Weber and Spencer city officials will be in Des Moines soon giving an update to leaders in the Iowa legislature.
