LAURENS, IA (Northwestiowanow) — A vehicle pursuit through Laurens ended in a rollover crash Monday.

Video obtained by KICD News appears to show a black Chevrolet Silverado involved in a high-speed pursuit along West Main Street shortly before noon May 18.

The footage shows the truck turning onto what looks to be Walnut Street before leaving the roadway and continuing along the railroad tracks.

Moments later, the driver appears to lose control, leading to the vehicle rolling over behind the Laurens Municipal Power and Communications Generation Plant along North 3rd Street.

The sequence appears to unfold in a matter of seconds.

The condition of the driver, charges, and the circumstances surrounding the pursuit remain unknown at this time.

Agencies responding to the scene included the Laurens Police Department, Pocahontas Police Department and Sheriff’s Office, Laurens Fire Department, Laurens Municipal Utilities, and Pocahontas County Emergency Medical Services.

KICD News has reached out to authorities and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
