Homecoming Week for Spencer Tigers

Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — It’s Homecoming week for Spencer Community Schools.

Candidates for Queen are: Abbey Crew, Gretchen Haak, Sydnee Hopkins, Avery McEntree, and Madison Steven; King candidates are Trenton Hallett, Jivahny Lovan, Cristian Mendez, Dylan Timmer, and Kamden Young. Coronation is Wednesday night in the Auditorium.

Dress-Up days this week focus on genres of music: Monday is Country Day, Tuesday is Hip-Hop, Rhythm and Blues on Wednesday, Disco on Thursday and Friday’s theme is “Rock Out for the Tigers.”

The parade is Friday at 3:30. This year’s grand marshal is Kurt Bauermeister who retired as the High School Science teacher last spring after 33 years with the district.

And you can catch the game with Sioux City West on Newsradio KICD – the voice of the Spencer Tigers – Friday night.
