Iowa DNR Advises Anglers to Clean Their Boats

Orleans, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) The Iowa DNR wants you to “Spread the Word, Not the Weed”. Fisheries Biologist Andrew Carslon says invasive organisms are frequently spread by watercraft and the trucks and trailers that move them from water body to water body.

 

 

The optimal situation is to thoroughly clean things off with hot water.

 

 

But most aquatic hitchhikers should die if you let your boat sit for several days before placing it in a different lake.
