Omaha, NE (Northwestiowanow.com) — Creighton Economist Ernie Goss says the 52.6 percent Rural Mainstreet Index this month is the best reading since July of 2023.

Iowa’s reading also popped above growth neutral, rising from 44.3 percent in May to 52.3 percent in June.

Professor Goss compiles the Rural Mainstreet Index each month by visiting by surveying Ag bankers in 10 Midwestern States.
