Washington, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — There was virtually no change in the weekly update of the drought monitor this morning. Emmet, Dickinson, O’Brien, Osceola, most of Clay, and about half of Palo Alto and Cherokee Counties remain “abnormally dry” as does the Southwest tip of Buena Vista County. The rest of the KICD Broadcast area remains “normal”. Less than one percent of the state – Western Woodbury and Northwest Lyon County – are in “severe drought.”
