When they arrived, deputies found 48-year-old Amy Jo Ulven of Crystal Lake. Ulven told them she had stopped by the dam to eat.

After the truck was removed from the water, a THC vape pen was found on the front seat. Deputies also allege they witnessed Ulven drop a glass pipe.

Ulven is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was also cited for Driving with a Suspended or Canceled License.

Ulven was booked into the Kossuth County Jail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on November 3rd.
