Okoboji, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The iconic Kum and Go signs will soon be disappearing from the Iowa landscape after the Iowa-based convenience store company sold back in 2023. And as Tony Gonzalez reports – the founder’s local store in Okoboji will be spun off to yet another company.

Tony Gentle and his son-in-law Bill Krause founded the company in 1959, branding their stores Kum N Go in 1975. Krause was a part-time resident of Okoboji at the time of his death in 2013.
