Lakes Area Memorial Weekend Recap

Arnolds Park, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Businesses in the Iowa Great Lakes hope a very busy Memorial Day weekend is an indication of how the rest of summer will go. Tourism Director Kiley Zankowsky tells George Bower they were able to confirm the big numbers with cell phone data.

Arnolds Park CEO Jon Pausley says it was a TREMENDOUS kickoff to the season.

Heading into this weekend, 60 percent of Dickinson County’s 1 thousand 56 hotel rooms are sold and 70 percent of Vacation Rentals are booked.
