LAURENS, IA (Northwestiowanow) — A Laurens woman has been arrested on theft charges.

According to court records, 21-year-old Jackie Jean Michelle Nehring was booked into the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Department on the evening of Friday, June 12.  The arrest stems from a prior charge of 2nd Degree Theft (Class D Felony) tied to an alleged offense on May 15.

Nehring remained in local custody overnight before being transferred Saturday to the Iowa Department of Corrections in Des Moines.

Earlier this year, Nehring was arrested after being found hiding in attic insulation at a Laurens home while attempting to avoid multiple outstanding warrants before being turned over to Palo Alto County authorities.
