Spirit Lake, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A Milford woman has been charged in a two-vehicle accident on highways 9 and 71 in Spirit Lake Monday night.

The Spirit Lake Police report says 32-year-old Jezzika McKee of Milford was headed North on 18th Street, stopped at the stop sign, but then made a left-hand turn onto the highway in front of the Eastbound vehicle driven by 64-year-old Karen Morris of Estherville.

McKee was transported to the hospital in Spirit Lake by ambulance. She was charged with failure to yield upon making a left turn. The incident ocurred around 5pm.
