Minor Injuries in Car vs. Cow Accident

Hartley, IA (KICD) — The O’Brien County Sheriff’s department reports just minor injuries in a car / cow accident near Hartley last Wednesday night.

76 year old Ronald Pingel from Spencer was Eastbound on Highway 18 around 10pm when he struck a cow – owned by Randy Menke – that broke through a pasture fence.

Pingel’s Rav 4 was totaled and the cow was killed. Pingel and his passenger, 67 year old Cynthia Pingel from Spencer, were both transported by ambulance to Spencer Hospital.
