Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Mennonite Disaster Services will soon be in Spencer to assist with flood recovery. Long-Term Recovery Group Director Megan Hentges has announced they will be able to not only rehab existing structures, but build a new home.

Hentges tells KICD News the impetus for the new build was money raised by country singer Eli Alger and the Faster Horses Band.  The new build is one more example of LTRG being able to assist a family impacted by the flood two years ago that had not previously sought help.
