Spirit Lake, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — A Minneapolis woman charged in a violent Okoboji carjacking has been released to a rehabilitation facility ahead of her sentencing next month. https://northwestiowanow.com/news/278872-okoboji-carjacking-update/

Forty-year-old Jessica Nordrum had been scheduled for a pretrial conference in Dickinson County court earlier this week (Jan 13), but court records show that date was cancelled because Nordrum actually entered a guilty plea back in December.

In a new ruling filed last Friday (Jan 9), a judge modified Nordrum’s conditions of release, allowing her to leave custody for placement with the Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge. Nordrum and a co-defendant were arrested last October after authorities say they assaulted a pregnant woman and stole her truck at the Lake Okoboji Resort.

Nordrum is scheduled for sentencing on February 17th.
