Sioux City, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — The Iowa DOT is asking for public feedback on a proposed culvert replacement on U.S. 59 in Osceola County.

The project involves replacing the current single box culvert with a twin reinforced concrete box, approximately two-tenths of a mile south of 250th Street.

Construction is scheduled to run from late spring through the end of 2027. U.S. 59 will be closed during the work, utilizing a detour through Melvin, following 250th Street to 1st Avenue, then south to U.S. 18.

You can share your thoughts with the Iowa DOT online, but you must submit your feedback by Monday, December 1st.
