Ruthven, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident near Ruthven Wednesday evening.

Authorities say the call came in November 19 around 8:00 p.m., reporting a crash in the 3500 block of 360th Street.

An investigation determined 19-year-old Carter Anthony Schleisman of Emmetsburg was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado westbound when he met an eastbound truck pulling a trailer. The trailer’s gate swung loose and struck Schleisman’s pickup.

No injuries were reported, and damage to the Silverado is estimated at $3,000.

The other vehicle involved has not been identified.
