Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Although the actual St. Patrick’s Day holiday isn’t until Tuesday, March 17, Iowa State Trooper Kevin Krull is aware most of the celebrating starts this weekend, and he visited the Northwest Iowa Now newsroom to remind us to plan for fun.

Krull says there will be extra law enforcement efforts over the weekend, so this reminder is aimed at reducing impaired driving but also protecting human life.

The Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee has also worked with Doll Distributing again this year to offer sober rides.
