Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — After months of preparation, the Spencer City Council has approved next year’s budget.
City Manager Kevin Robinson points out several city services fund themselves, not from general property tax receipts.

And Robinson breaks down how the property tax dollar is divvied up.

There was one major shift in the budget this year, as the city council agreed to increase their contribution to the regional transit authority to cover their growing deficit.

The new fiscal year budget starts July 1st.
