Spencer, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Upgrades to the Spencer Aquatic Center are still a priority for the Spencer Parks and Recreation Board, and Bob Fullhart gave an update on the progress:

The Spencer City Council will see the final design plans at an upcoming meeting, and they’ll need to discuss the three separate bond issues including the splash pad, aquatic center and camping. They are first waiting to hear from Bonding Companies on how to proceed.

Ice Skating is back for now, too.

No zamboni, but the parks crew will work to keep the surface clean on Moose pond. You can use your own ice skates, or you can contact the Parks department to check out ice skates for free.
