SPENCER, IA (Northwestiowanow) — Local banks are teaming up to fight back against fraud in Northwest Iowa.

Representatives from Northwest Bank, State Bank, Farmers Bank, Community State Bank and the Spencer Police Department will host a Fraud Awareness and Prevention Seminar on Tuesday, September 30th at the Clay County Regional Events Center.

The idea came from seeing fraud every day.

They emphasize that fraud can affect anyone, regardless of age or experience.

The event runs from 5 to 7 p.m., with a presentation by Jenica Lensmeyer of the Iowa Bankers Association, followed by a Q&A panel hosted by Kevin Tlam. The seminar is free and open to all ages, with light refreshments provided.

For more information, contact your local bank or check their Facebook pages.
