Spencer, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Spencer opened up the 2026 Girls Swimming season at home against Algona.
Spencer’s team of Emerson Wittrock, Halle Sears, Aubrey Paterson, and Aubrey McFarland combined for a time of 1:56.76 in the 200y Individual Medley Relay to pick up the win.
Spencer’s Kaela Weston won the 200y Free with a time of 2:22.64, Wittrock won the 200y Individual Medley with a time of 2:33.09, and McFarland gave Spencer another win in the 50y Free, clocking 26.37.
Halle Sears punched her ticket to the State Meet early with a time of 58.62 seconds, taking first for Spencer in that race.
Ava Vogt won the 100y Free for the Tigers with a time of 59.74 seconds and Tensley Cronin picked up the win for Spencer int he 500y Free with a time of 6:32.51.
Spencer’s team of Sears, McFarland, Vogt, and Paterson won the 200y Free Relay with a time of 1:45.75.
Wittrock took 1st int he 100y Back at 1:03.58 and Halle Sears took 1st in the 100y Breaststroke at 1:09.97.
Spencer’s team of Paterson, Wittrock, Vogt, and Maisy Schmidt completed the Dual Sweep of Varsity events for the Tigers, winning the 400y Free with a time of 4:06.9.
Spencer of course dominated the team score 133-34. The Tigers will be back in the Pool on Saturday for the Mason City Invitational.
