Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Motorists along Grand this week noticed that the Zylstra Chiropractic Clinic – the medical office that looked like a house – is gone.

Ed Meyer – the Vice President of Information Technology and Security – says buying the property and removing the structure provides better visibility for the all-important Emergency Entrance off the highway.

Meyer says the Dennis Zylstra family was present during the demolition Wednesday and has been very supportive of the property transfer.

Although the newly acquired lot abuts a current parking lot at Spencer Hospital, the highway frontage will become a green space.

One of the next projects at Spencer Hospital will be a reconfiguration of the North entrance to make check-ins more convenient.
