Spencer Man Arrested in O’Brien County

Primghar, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — A Spencer man is free on bond today after being arrested on felony charges involving a minor.

74-year-old Martin Forest Arthur is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and grooming.

According to O’Brien County court records, the charges were filed Monday, January 26th by the Sutherland Police Department for offenses alleged to have occurred January 25th.

Reports detail an undercover operation by the Sutherland – Calumet Police acting as the 15-year-old boy online, and Arthur is alleged to have communicated and arrived to meet the boy when Police arrested him.

The exploitation charge is a Class B Felony, and Arthur posted bond and will make his initial appearance in O’Brien County District Court February 3 at 9 a.m
