Spirit Lake Fire Department Responds to Fire at Livestock Facility Thursday

Superior, IA (Northwestiowa.com) — The Spirit Lake Fire Department was dispatched to a livestock facility directly East of Superior before noon Thursday. Chief Pat Daly says a cattle barn was just starting to burn, but the animals inside were not hurt.

Conditions were such that the fire could have spread quickly.

Firefighters were on the scene for about ninety minutes. The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department and Emergency Management were also on scene.
