Storm Lake Hosts Tornado Relays

Storm Lake, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Storm Lake hosted the Tornado Relays on Monday with Estherville Lincoln Central, Spencer, and Spirit Lake also attending from the KICD 9-County Area.

In the Girls Long Jump, Anabel Sinz of Spirit Lake won with a leap of 18’3.5”.

Drew Hogrefe of Storm Lake took 1st in the Boys Discuss with a throw of 123’9”.

For the Boys Shot Put, a toss of 51’5.5” got Jackson Knutson of Spirit Lake a first-place finish.

Storm Lake’s Boys 800m Sprint Medley Relay team won with a team of Azurdia, Chaiyawong, Weno, and William running a time of 1:35.85.

Jace Hungerford of Spirit Lake claimed the Boys 3200m Run with a time of 10:30.2.

Spirit Lake put together a team of Trautman, Wassenaar, Coates, and Frangenberg to win the 4x800m Relay with a time of 8:45.28.

The Spirit Lake Girls picked up the win in the 4x100m Shuttle Hurdle Relay with a team of DuVall, Sinz, Wassenaar, and Bolluyt hitting a time of 1:08.99.

Garbieno Weno of Storm Lake won the Boys 100m Dash with a time of 11.06.

Estherville Lincoln Central’s Garrett Smith ran a time of 52.28 seconds to win the Boys 400m Dash.

The Spencer Girls 4x200m Relay won with a time of 1:47.25, made up of Reynolds, Hopkins, Krieg, and Simington.

Storm Lake’s Weno took another race in the 200m Dash with a time of 22.16 seconds.

Elanor Sinz of Spirit Lake took 1st in the 400m Hurdles wtih a time of 1:08.53.

Hungerford of Spirit Lake picked up another Gold in the Boys 1600m Run with a time of 4:41.61.

The Spirit Lake Boys team of Bolluyt, Higgins, Reuter, and Grau won with a time of 43.98 seconds.
