Storm Lake, Ia (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Storm Lake Police Department has identified the man arrested on multiple arrests Saturday night. As we previously reported he is accused of entering his ex-girlfriend’s car while she was at a drive-through across the street from the high school and threatened her and her children. Police now identify the suspect as 36-year-old Martin Gullen of Storm Lake. He allegedly told the woman and the occupants he had a gun and instructed her not to call police.

When authorities arrived around 7:30pm he exited the car, and fled despite police commands to stop. He was handcuffed and taken into custody in the parking lot of a neighboring business, but continued to resist, eventually kicking out the rear window of a patrol car. He was eventually subdued with a taser and taken to the hospital for treatment of a minor wound before being booked into the Buena Vista County jail.

Current charges are: 2nd degree burglary, assault while participating in a felony, 2nd degree criminal mischief, and three counts of interference with official acts causing bodily harm.
