Teachers are back home at Lincoln School in Spencer today to start setting up their newly repaired and renovated classrooms. The flood in June 2024 filled the school and created millions of dollar of repairs necessary to open back up. A year later, after teaching in a temporary location all of 2024-2025 school year, 4th Grade Teacher Kaetlyn Minkle

Jan Mummert is happy to be teaching her fourth graders again back in Lincoln.

Lincoln students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades were moved to other schools for the school year, and teachers made do with the cramped spaces

Students and their families will get to see the updates at open houses coming up before the school year starts on Tuesday August 26th at Lincoln Elementary School in Spencer.
