Spencer, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – The Spencer Boys Soccer team hosted Sheldon/Sibley-Ocheyedan on Monday at the Northwest Iowa Soccer field for an NWISL matchup.

The Orabs came out aggressive, attacking the Spencer defense while playing a high line defensively, but the Tigers made them pay for it, scoring 4 Goals in the matches first 10 minutes.

Spencer kept up the attack with Nolan McCusker getting his 3rd Goal on the year, Cayden Brewer netting his 4th of the match, and Junior Kase Kardell scoring his first goal of the 2026 season.

The fast start seemed to wear down Spencer through the final 20 minutes of the 1st half, only scoring one more goal compared to their 7 in the first 20.  That goal came from Nolan McCusker, his 2nd on the evening.

The Tigers took an 8-0 lead going into the locker room.  The break gave Spencer an extra jolt of energy to begin the 2nd half, and Spencer ended the match with two quick goals in the matches 41st and 42nd minutes from Keegan Musser right off the opening kick, and Cayden Brewer on a well-designed free-kick set.

The win improves Spencer to 5-2-1 on the year and 4-0-1 in the Northwest Iowa Soccer League where they move to first place on the table with 13 points.

Sheldon/Sibley-Ocheyedan remains winless on the season, falling to 0-9-1 and 0-4-0 in the NWISL.  The Orabs remain tied with MOC-Floyd Valley at 9th on the table with 0 points after the Dutchmen also absorbed a loss to Storm Lake Monday night.
