Tiger Boys Swimming Splits Duals on Senior Night

Spencer, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Spencer hosted Bishop Garrigan of Algona and Sioux City Metro Thursday night at the Spencer Family YMCA’s Jeffrey S. Olsen Memorial Pool.

The Tiger’s 200y Medley Relay team of Ray Kaiser, Owen Van Otterloo, Mason Yost, and Ethan Hass clocked 1:46.09 to finish 1st.

Oliver Miller won the 200y Free for the Tigers, swimming 1:49.83.

In the 100y Fly, Mason Yost of Spencer won with a time of 59.95 seconds.

Oliver Miller hit the pool again for the 500y Free, breaking his own school record with a time of 4:57.15, just .57 seconds behind first place Carson Hoak of Sioux City Metro.

Kaiser won in the 100y Back with a time of 56.77.

Van Otterloo came away with a time of 1:01.96 in the 100y Breast for Spencer, good enough for another first place finish.

In the Dual scores, Spencer beat Bishop Garrigan of Algona 73-19 and fell short to Sioux City Metro 50-44.
