Traffic Stop in Emmetsburg Leads to Arrest on Drug Warrants

EMMETSBURG, IA (Northwestiowanow) — A Saturday night traffic stop in Emmetsburg ended with the arrest of a Graettinger woman on drug-related warrants.

Deputies with the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Main Street around 8:24 p.m. During the stop, they arrested 66-year-old Mary Elise Enderton on two outstanding Dickinson County warrants.

The warrants stem from prior charges of First Offense Possession of a Controlled Substance — methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Enderton was transferred to Dickinson County authorities. The Emmetsburg Police Department assisted at the scene.
