Trail Association Updates Progress Linking Clay and Dickinson

Spirit Lake, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) – The recreational trail linking Clay and Dickinson counties is getting closer. Dickinson County Trial Director Erin Reed says they had hoped to complete the 3-mile gap in 2026, but it will probably be 2027.

 

2027 is also the year the association hopes to pouring concrete East of Spirit Lake.

2025 saw completion of the trail from Spencer to the Clay County line, and 1.5 miles was completed directly South of Milford.
