Two Marijuana Arrests in Pocahontas County Sunday

Pocahontas, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — Two separate traffic checks in Pocahontas led to drug charges Sunday.

The Sheriff’s Department checked out what was called in as a “suspicious vehicle” parked at Swan Lake. After investigating they charged 31-year-old Chad Williamson for possession of marijuana third or subsequent offense and also for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Also, on September 27th they stopped a Chevy Suburban in the 40 thousand blocks of 130th Avenue. The driver was 41-year-old Christopher Meyer who was charged with first offense possession of marijuana, having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, driving with a suspended license, and failure to provide proof of insurance.
